Wow- I have been awarded the “Beautiful Blogger Award” by Heidi at “Clatter & Chatter & Things That Matter”.
Heidi is an awesome Blogger and I feel so privileged that she even thought of my little blog, especially considering, in my view, it really needs a makeover now that they have finally fixed all the blog’s features for me (Thanks HSB Admin!!!!)!
Thanks so much Heidi, for just the encouragement I needed when I needed it
The rules and the other blogs that she awarded are listed here:
http://chatterandclatter.blogspot.com/2010/08/ive-been-triple-awarded.html
Receipt of this “prestigious award” requires me to share SEVEN things about me (This is really hard because I know I will probably be boring you!), so here goes:
1) I am a teacher through and through- God just made me that way. I love to help and teach others from preschoolers to adults. I just really enjoy people and helping them learn something new gives me a thrill!
2) I am a rebel – I have always done things differently than “the crowd” so when I heard about Homeschooling, well it was a “no-brain-er”!
3) I am creative – (You never guessed this one I know!) I love Art and Music, Drama and Writing. I love crafts and decorating and consider our home to be my current canvas. Over the years, my Dear Husband has bravely tolerated all of my decorating changes and I have learned to warn him when I re-arrange the furniture!
4) I hate to dust the furniture- this is the first chore I taught my little ones to do
5) I am apparently also a volunteer by nature- Jobs for which you do not get paid seem to attract me. I am currently the 4H Leader for our Homeschool 4H Club, and Leader of our 4-H “Writer’s Committee” (we are writing a play based on Robin Hood), Chair of our 4H Youth and Advisory Committee for Davie County, NC, Membership Director for T.E.A.C.H. Homeschool Support Group, and Blogger for NC Homeschool “ology” which updates NC Homeschoolers on Activities and Homeschool News.
6) (Almost done) I am in leadership for our Homeschool Support Group, because I have a heart to help others with their Homeschooling. I really desire for Homeschoolers to have the best experience possible on all levels. Probably this is because I have been through a lot of the same struggles that they have had and I want to share the things that I have learned in the past 11 years, so they will know they can make it too! This is also the reason I blog and the ONLY reason I agreed to be on the radio talking about Homeschooling in our county
7) Last One: True confession time: I still do not know all the curriculum that we will be using this school year 2010-2011 and do not have my transcripts for my daughter’s 9th grade year completed yet because I am want her to complete her Biology Book!
Now I have to choose Bloggers to share this award with (and boy is that hard – there are so many good ones that I love to read!) So here they are in no particular order:
Joelle at “Homeschooling for His Glory” http://homeschoolblogger.com/joelle/2010/09/reflections-on-parenting-part-1/
Jennifer at “A Glimpse of Our Life” http://homeschoolblogger.com/greensburg/
April at “Heartfelt Homeschooling” http://homeschoolblogger.com/bradleyzoo/
Paula at “How We Roll!” Covenant Christian Academy- http://homeschoolblogger.com/paulajoy/
Adolescent Outcast at ” Sometimes You Gotta’ Wonder… http://homeschoolblogger.com/judges2125/20/#comment-6
LoveBNAMom @ “Never Ceasing in Amazement” http://homeschoolblogger.com/burnsfamily/
I guess I will have to quit awarding for now, since I need to go and leave the AWARD Info for all of them – These are very special Bloggers whose blogs have touched my heart and there are many others on my friend’s list too. I thank God for all of you
For those who are listed above, here is the Award Button for your Blog and you need to share SEVEN things about you and then award this to people whose blogs you love (less than 15):
I hope that you will check out my friends’ blogs and get to know them a little and that this post will help you to discover a new blog (or online friend) too!
God Bless you and your Homeschool~
